Baltimore Marine in Denver for Obama

Baltimore native Nathaniel Fick appears to be in the audience at tonight's Democratic National Committee Convention session at Invesco Field in Denver.

Fick is the former Marine who authored the 2005 book, "One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Corps Officer." The recent HBO mini-series "Generation Kill" was based on his platoon's experiences during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

He was once a registered Republican, and last year wrote about how a Democrat could get his vote. Apparently, Barack Obama got it.

I guess all the liberals in

I guess all the liberals in Dartmouth and Harvard got to him. They can be dangerous places. I thought he was a smarter man than that though. As a veteran myself, very disappointed.

Nate Fick really impresses

Nate Fick really impresses me, I would be wholly surprised if he doesn't end up in the senate or house.

We need more leaders like Lt. Fick in this country. Whatever he chooses to do after Harvard business school, consider me a supporter.

If you haven't read One Bullet Away, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy.
