Kratovil did well with officeholders in Q2

We looked at when money from Frank Kratovil came in last quarter, but never who.

So here's a picture of the lawmakers and elected officials who donated to the 1st District Democrat's campaign in Q2.

Leadership has invested heavily in the race, with a few members giving $7,000 from their campaign accounts and PACs. That would include  Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Cal.), Majority Whip James Clyburn (S.C.), Caucus Chair Rahm Emmanuel (IL) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.), a chief deputy whip. Another chief deputy whip, Rep. Joe Crowley (NY),  gave $2,500.

Wayne Gilchrest's old across-the-aisle ally Elijah Cummings (D-Baltimore) gave Frank $2,000, as did Representatives Charles Gonzalez (Tex.), Steve Israel (N.Y.) and Barney Frank (Mass.).

Kratovil also took in $1,000 from Democratic U.S. Representatives Ron Kind (Wis.), Artur Davis (Ala.), Dan Lipinski (Ill.), Ellen Tauscher (Cal.), Earl Pomeroy (N.D.), Albio Sires (N.J.), Shelley Berkley (Nev.), Melissa Bean (Ill.), and John Tanner (Tenn.), who is a leader of the Blue Dog Coalition and a chief deputy whip.

As for local office-holders. Del. Rudy Cane gave $1,000 while colleagues Justin Ross and Maggie McIntosh gave $999 each. Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger kicked in $800, while his Anne Arundel counterpart, Frank Weathersbee, gave only $250. State Sen. James DeGrange offered up $500 while powerful House Appropriations Chairman Norm Conway donated $300. Del. Steve DeBoy gave $250, Del. Mary Anne Love $200 and Delegates Dan Riley and Guy Guzzone $100.

Proof?

I like how you mention that Kratovil has raised significant money from "conservative Republicans..." Where is your proof? You can't just make that statement without proof. As a conservative GOPer, I doubt very much my colleagues have donated money to Frank as you so callously state. These are the same people who dislike McCain, because he's NOT CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH!

Kratovil doing well

No Basically,
No one is saying that. The total of those contributions is a drop in the bucket of what FK has raised. Actually if you look closely at where his money is coming from, which it is evident you have not, his supporters are a vast cross section of the voters in the district. Many of who, are conservative republicans.
Engage brain, first, mouth second, would be a good start for you.

So basically you're saying

So basically you're saying Frank Kratovil is subsisting on the financial likes of liberal Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, etc (save the Blue Dogs)?
