State Senate Seat Replacement
I think Pat McDonough would be the man for the job as Senator.
He is one of only a few state and federal representativess that I consider to be a completely honest man.
He would represent the average taxpayer which would be a much needed change in the direction that Maryland politics have gone lately.
I want Pat in the highest position possible in this State of Maryland because I trust him to do the right thing.

I think Pat would do a great job as Senator. He is one of only a few state and federal representative that I have met who I believe is in office to represent the average tax payer and not there just to get what they can from the taxpayer.
In response to your question
Pat has announced that he intends to run for County Executive in 2010. That election is more than 2 years in the future. The Senate replacement is scheduled to occur in November of this year.
The Senate replacement decision should be based on the most qualified and experienced person that could serve in this position whether it is for 2 years or 10 years. Without question, if Pat moves to the Senate, it would enhance his chances of winning the County Executive position. I don't think any Republican in Maryland would disagree with the idea of having a conservative Republican serving as Baltimore County Executive and providing our party with a victory for the second biggest political prize in Maryland. We all know that Pat would do his usual great job in either office. As a strong candidate county wide, he would lift all Republican candidates for public office including whomever may need to succeed him in the 7th district Senate post.
