UPDATE: Confirmed due to "scheduling problems."
A source says that Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine is no longer attending tomorrow night's '08 Unity Fundraiser for the State Democratic Central Committee at Iguana Catina in Baltimore.
Mention of Kaine at the event has been removed from the party's website, and Kaine was not identified with the other notable out-of-state guests Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and Washington D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty in a promotional e-mail.
Speculation that Kaine will be Barack Obama's choice for vice president is at a crescendo. On the day his attendance at the fundraiser was announced two and a half weeks ago, the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza ranked Kaine number one on his list of potential picks, and media speculation has been climbing ever since.
