In DCCC's competitive open seat ad-buys, Kratovil draws the short straw

Late last week, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced $34.5 million ad-buy in 31 congressional districts around the country -- with $22.5 million in districts currently held by Republicans.

Yet First district Democrat Frank Kratovil, who was recently added to the DCCC's 'Red-to-Blue' list, will not receive any support from this push, as his campaign was left out of the ad-buy.

Still, Kratovil is hardly alone. The ad-buy included just half of the DCCC's 'Red-to-Blue' candidates that are vying for seats in which the Republican incumbent will not be on the ballot. Several of the selectd 31 races are incumbent Democratic lawmakers, with even more vying to unseat Republican incumbents.

Others like Kratovil left out in this round are John Adler (NJ-03), Bobby Bright (AL-02), Charlie Brown (CA-04), Paul Carmouche (LA-04), Debbie Halvorson (IL-11), Dan Maffei (NY-25), Jon Powers (NY-26) and Gary Trauner (WY-AL).
