Keepin' up with Chris

U.S. Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Kensington) had a lot of discussions over the weekend about where he sees the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee heading.

In an interview with The Washington Post's Chris Cillizza and Ben Pershing, Van Hollen said that he sees about 75 competitive races nationwide -- with a little more than third of them with the Democrats playing defense.

Of course he was on Fox News this past Sunday, rolling out a new catchy attack phrase: "In a change election cycle, House Republicans are the party of no, veto, and status quo." And today he's telling the AP that 'Blue Dogs are just alright with me.'

Then there's this online chat he did with The Post last week, where he gets local for once.

VH slippery snake -- whereabouts unknown

twiston - like your comparison of VH to a snake oil salesman..he's really sucking the life out of the 8th District. I just saw a picture of him campaigning in Nevada for some other jackass. Hello??? 8th District???? Do you know where your congressman is?

van holland

its a shame none of the other congressmen take the time to research any of the legislature this fence sitting snake oil salesman has crafted... he may pick up a U.S. congressional paycheck but he is working everyone except his constituents. I have no idea why people keep re electing worthless career politicians

Van Hollen Is the Status Quo

Unfortunately catchy slogans are all Van Hollen can bring to the table. I am a lifelong Democrat, and I think that Van Hollen himself is the "status quo," so he is attacking himself. Van Hollen is just a career politician and will never be a statesman. He hasnt done a single thing since replacing Connie. That was a tragic day. He will never rise to the challenge of effective representation. I'm voting for the other guy. Hudson is a moderate with common sense and he is a leader.
