Dr. Mike Hargadon is pleased to announce that he has received an endorsement from Congressman Ron Paul

On August 1, 2008, 18 peaceful demonstrators, including 10 teenagers, were arrested by Maryland State Troopers along Route 24 in Bel Air.  Jack Ames, director of Defend Life, reported that all of the demonstrators were arrested without warning, they were not read their rights, and they were held overnight without access to a lawyer.  Additionally, he said that most of those arrested were not allowed a single phone call while incarcerated. 

Dr. Mike Hargadon, candidate for Congress in District 7, questioned last month’s decision by the American Medical Association (AMA) to support proposed legislation that could outlaw planned homebirths. 

“This is the method of our current Congress.  Throw scraps to the poor by raising the minimum wage, while giving out generous favors to their special interest friends.  Congressman Cummings has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations from special interests, so his first priority is to satisfy the lobbyists on K Street, not the downtrodden working poor in Baltimore,” continued Dr. Hargadon, who has pledged to refuse donations from special interest groups.
