Hecht attributes Bartlett's property non-disclosure to ‘memory problems'

“I’ve known Jennifer for many years and she’s a fighter and she’s very smart. People are wanting a change and I think this is a time where all the stars can aline,” Hecht told PolitickerMD.com during a reception for U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Mechanicsville).

Hecht said she recognized the challenges Dougherty faces.

“It’s the most conservative most difficult district for a Democrat to run in in Maryland,” she said. “It’s absolutely an uphill battle for any Democrat. It’s not just Jennifer.”

Duck lists endorsements

Among those supporting Duck are:

  • County Commissioner Jan Gardner
  • County Commissioner Kai Hagan
  • Alderwoman Marcia Hall (Frederick)
  • Delegate Sue Hecht
  • Alderwoman Donna Kuzemchak-Ramsburg (Frederick)
  • Councilman Walt Stull (Brunswick)
  • Commissioner Ron Terpko (Thurmont)
  • Former Mayor Ron Young (Frederick)

Missing is Frederick Alderman David "Kip" Koontz, who supported Duck in 2006.

Earlier this week, Politicker MD's Wally Edge noted that Duck still listed primary opponent and former Frederick Mayor Jennifer P. Doughtery among campaign endorsements on his website. Her name has since been removed.
