    Taylor returns despite a stroke

DENVER - Roxanne Taylor, a Barack Obama Democratic National Committee delegate from the 5th District, is officially back with her delegation and ready for action, despite suffering from a stroke earlier this week.

“God bless. I feel I am very grateful this morning just for being here,” the Bowie resident told the Maryland delegation Thursday morning during a reception at the Renaissance Denver Hotel.

Taylor checked in to Denver Medical Center early Tuesday morning after she suffered a stroke during a reception hosted by Comptroller Peter Franchot (D-Takoma Park).

Taylor said she didn’t want to admit anything was wrong at the time, but was grateful her friends stepped in.
