While Duck has to spend, Bartlett keeps cash close

Financially, Sixth District Rep. Roscoe Bartlett is far and away leading the pack in his bid for re-election.

The eight-term Republican took in $111,000 last year, with $60,000 from individual contributions, $49,000 from political action committees, and a few thousand dollars in expenditure refunds.

Likely Democratic nominee Andrew Duck raised well over $73,000 from almost $70,000 in individual contributions and $3,750 in donations from union PAC funds.

But while Bartlett barely opened his warchest, spending just $32,000, Duck’s comparatively competitive primary led him to spend more than twice that: almost $66,000.

As it stands now, Bartlett has $277,000 cash on hand, while Duck has only $10,500.
