Steele to address New Hampshire Republicans

Former Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele will address the New Hampshire Republican State Committee along with invited presidential candidates during a reception on Sunday. Steele, the current chairman of GOPAC, a Republican political action committee that trains GOP candidates seeking elective office, will speak during an event called the First in the Nation Presidential Brunch.

According to Stephen DeMaura, the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee, Reps. Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter have agreed to appear at the brunch. DeMaura said he expects "several other candidates" will also be in attendance.

"We are currently working with other candidates and their schedules," DeMaura told PolitickerMD.com. "All the candidates have agreed to leave the time frame open."

The event will be held from 11:00 AM to 1 PM Sunday, at the Hampshire Hills Function Center in Milford, New Hampshire. The cost is $125 per person.

DeMaura said he expects Steele to "talk about the future direction of the party," while expressing "how Republicans can regain state and local seats."

DeMaura also said the event would serve "as a platform for the presidential candidates," while saying that "over 250 credentialed media members" would attend.

Steele could not be reached for immediate comment.
