John Edwards and the death of mainstream media

John Edwards admission that he lied and dismissed reports of an affair with Rielle Hunter, a filmmaker hired to cover his presidential campaign, may have ended his public life, but did it also signify an end to the era in which the mainstream media controlled the agenda for national political journalism?

Uhhhh McCain has ADMITTED that he was having an affair. He cheated on his first wife, and the woman he had an affair with was the future Cindy McCain.

But it is okay for the NYT to publish a unsubstantiated report about John McCain having an affair? Nice double standard you democrats seem to have. Why do you all seem to think that no one is allowed to critize you? The Holier than thou attitude is really getting annoying

so what else is new?

As far as John Edward's goes......so what else is new?
The Main Stream Media though is .......... the most powerful weapon the Democratic Party has! Any one with the sense God put in an onion is onto them and realizes that, although by day they pass themselves off as journalists, at night when all the bats come out , they are The Democratic Party.
Thank goodness for Radio Free America!

Thank goodness for blogs like this

Of course not.

In what bizarre invasive world, is not reporting a story being pushed by a disreputable news agency about a former candidate for democratic nominee considered irresponsible? The rumors were floating around for years, but they were unsubstantiated, thus the media, which supposedly has some standard for quality didn't report them. Suggesting that this is the death of the MSM is just too stupid.
