Obama follows the beat of a different drum

Barack Obama has shifted his energy strategy after the McCain campaign pounced on comments Obama made about properly inflating our tires

Obama called for tapping the nation's strategic oil reserves to help drive down gasoline prices. He also suggested that he'd support limited additional offshore oil drilling after attempting to make the case of the minimal impact it would have on current gas prices.

Have we reached yet another unlikely meeting of the minds, or is it just another case of political pandering?
