Why Not Challenge?
I don't see what the big deal is. I think that Barbara Mikulski is vulnerable to a challenge from the right person. Mikulski's voting record is not stellar, nor is she a leader in any sense of the word.
The issue is this is a female seat and voters will perceive this as a reason to vote female. That's the problem - there really is not a strong female in Maryland politics who has risen to the plateau of prominence to challenge Ms. Mikulski.
If some woman is thinking about it, they better get busy right now.
