State Sen. Andy Harris (R-Cockeysville), who is running for congress in Maryland's 1st Congressional District, is reporting $558,891.83 in total contributions in the third fundraising quarter and has $749,060.81 cash on hand, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission.
Harris is currently competing against Democrat Frank Kratovil, the Queen Anne's County state's Attorney, for the 1st District seat, which includes 12 of the 23 counties in the state. Kratovil's 3rd quarter numbers are not yet available.
The Kratovil-Harris race is ranked the 53rd most competitive U.S. House race in the nation on Politicker.com's Pindell Report. Politicker.com's Managing Editor James Pindell lists the race as "Leans Republican."
