The campaign team for First District Rep. Wayne Gilchrest are feeling good about the incumbent Republican's Annapolis fundraising dinner Thursday night featuring former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Lt. Gov. Michael Steele.
Lynn Caliguiri, finance director for the Gilchrest campaign, tells us that the campaign is feeling upbeat about the event. “The phone is ringing off the hook,” she said, adding that 150 people have said they will be attending. Caliguiri says that 20-22 of the attendees will be “Sponsors” paying $500 or more.
Also attending the event will be Harford County Executive David Craig, Del. Tony McConkey, Del. Wayne Norman, former Congresswoman Marjorie Holt, Anne Arundel Councilman Ron Dillon, and Anne Arundel Councilwomen Cathy Vitale.
