More or less, Maryland’s Republican activists are still evenly spread between the major presidential candidates.
Monday night’s Ronald Reagan Dinner also polled for the top ’08 contenders. The results were:
Romney 28.3%
Guiliani 27.6%
Huckabee 16%
Thompson 13%
McCain 10%
Paul 2%
While it preceded McCain’s Tuesday New Hampshire win, that was expected and likely had little effect.
It shows that in Maryland — like much of the country — Republican bigwigs remain split. This contest could go a long way.
