Dougherty is water off Duck's back

Andrew J. DuckWhen asked what, if any, impact former Frederick Mayor Jennifer Doughtery's entrance into the race for the 6th's Democratic nomination has on Andrew J. Duck's prospects, campaign manager Walter Ludwig was quick to respond.
"Andrew got 95,000 votes in his last election, from all six counties in the district, including 10,000 in Frederick City. Former mayor Dougherty got about 1,600 in her last election, when she lost her primary there. So, no, her entrance into the race doesn't affect our strategy at all, though we're happy to lend her a road atlas to the rest of the district if she needs one."
Duck, an Iraq veteran who served more than 20 years in the United States Army, took on Republican Rep. Roscoe Bartlett in 2006, garnering 38% of the vote. Soon after, he began his campaign for the 2008 nomination and continues to list an endorsement from Dougherty on his website.
He currently resides in Woodsboro and works in the office of the Deputy Army Chief of Staff for Northrop Grumman as an advisor to the Pentagon on Army Intelligence issues.
