Harris to Kratovil: The crisis isn’t solved
By Danny Reiter, PolitickerMD.com ReporterThe Andy Harris campaign is blasting Democratic opponent Frank Kratovil for his assertion that the bailout package solved the economic crisis.
"We solved the crisis, but we don't always do something to solve the issue," Kratovil said Monday, according to the Daily Times.
State Sen. Harris (R-Cockeysville) is running against the Queen Anne's County state's Attorney for Maryland's 1st Congressional District seat.
"Kratovil is dead wrong," Harris said in a statement. "The crisis is far from solved, and the Wall Street bailout was the wrong approach. I will go to Washington to solve the economic issues facing our nation, because there is a lot more that needs to be done."
But Kevin Lawlor, Kratovil's press secretary, says the candidate was speaking about how Washington, D.C. handles the issues in general.
"He wasn't speaking directly towards the economic crisis," Lawlor told PolitickerMD.com.
The Kratovil-Harris race is ranked the 52nd most competitive U.S. House race in the nation on Politicker.com's Pindell Report. Politicker.com's Managing Editor James Pindell lists the race as "Leans Republican."

When you say "We solved the crisis", that in essence means the crisis is over. These Kratovil plants need to stop defending the campaign's talking points.
P.S. I don't support Harris either.
Harris is Full of BS
Kratovil never said the economic crises was over. I was there. Harris and Crissy (and their half wit challenged brother Joe) are smoking dubies again. Harris, Crissy and Joe, three inbred peas in a pod. I would love to find out what they are smoking?? Perhaps they were smoking something else that belongs to their political adviser Finkelstein (and head pollster).
