Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown (D-Baltimore) is rearranging his press office.
Brown's former press secretary, Nancy Lineman, left the lieutenant governor's office in July for a position at the Maryland Department of Human Recourses.
On Wednesday, former deputy press secretary Mike Raia announced he would be taking over the role as press secretary.
Barbara Streeter will hop on board in mid-October to fill the new position of communications director. Streeter currently works on community relations at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Prince George's County.
Raia said Streeter "brings an exciting new perspective" to the lieutenant governor's office and has a "wide array of experience."
Streeter will focus on long-term planning and message development, while Raia will handle the day-to-day operations of the press office.
