Paulson: ‘Karl Rove style nastiness lives on'
By Danny Reiter, PolitickerMD.com ReporterMaryland Republican Party executive director Justin Ready had only one thing to say on the eve of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention:
"You've got your hands full now boys."
But David Paulson, the Maryland Democratic Party's communications director, said the comment "tells you something about where their heads are at."
"Given his ‘boys' comment, one could suppose that women still aren't taken all that seriously in the Republican arena - their VP nominee notwithstanding," wrote Paulson in an email to PolitickerMD.com. "Karl Rove style nastiness lives on ... The entire Republican convention is proof that real issues that affect real Americans remain low on the Republican list of priorities while personal and nasty attacks remain the norm."
