MD Republicans call media spotlight harmful to Palin's future grandchild

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The media attention surrounding Sarah Palin's 17-year old daughter's pregnancy is awful for the baby's future, according to Maryland Republicans.

"Could you imagine every newspaper in the country making you sound like you are a inconvenient mistake for your grandmother?" John Fiastro asked during an interview with PolitickerMD.com. Fiastro is president of the 42nd District Republican Club.

"What I'm concerned about is 15 to 20 years from now and this kid realizes who his grandmother is and goes back and does research ... all these journalists will make this baby sound like a mistake," he said.

Del. Tony McConkey (R-Anne Arundel County) called criticisms from the opposition irrational.

"It's hilarious -- the Democrats -- they feel that they can't be held to any standard because they don't believe in any morals. They don't preach any morals so they can't be held to any standard," he said. "Yet they want to hold Republicans to a higher standard."

Palin

write2bheard, I am so glad there is at least YOU out there, YOU, the PERFECT mother. Your children are PERFECT too I am sure. I have NEVER in my life heard such vile hate from the left. The left ONLY cares about women who they agree with. NONE OTHER. You all are REALLY not doing any favors for your candidate. But PLEASE PLEASE keep it up with your personal attacks.

Huh? A 17 year old gets pregnant and the Republicans are upset because Democrats think it's dripping with irony, since the grandmother doesn't believe in sex education -- only abstinence education. This isn't about morals -- it's about hypocracy. I am the mother of 4 children -- one girl and 3 boys. How many grandchildren were conceived before marriage? Zero, because they were taught how to prevent it.

Show me just one of these "men with morals" who remained a virgin until he got married. Just one. People who live in glass houses ...

Integrity and morals aren't what you say -- they are what you do.
