Queen Anne’s County Republican Central Committee member Diana Waterman says she is personally thrilled about Sen. John McCain’s choice of Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) as a running mate, but she still doesn’t think McCain can win in Maryland.
Waterman says that the pick will create a much stronger showing, but “unfortunately there’s too many Democrats...that are gonna sway to Obama.”
Republicans “will happily rally behind” the ticket she added.
Waterman says that “aside from the obvious female part,” Palin will help the ticket with her gubernatorial experience and her pro-life stance.
Waterman also serves as the president of the Chesapeake Republican Women and is the Queen Anne’s county campaign coordinator for both the John McCain and Andy Harris campaigns.
