DENVER – Introduced by Gov. Martion O'Malley (D), U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Baltimore) announced Wednesday that the Maryland delegation to the Democratic National Committee Convention casted 94 votes for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).
“The great state of Maryland -- the birthplace of our speaker Nancy Pelosi, the birthplace of Harriet Tubman, and the birthplace of the Star Spangled Banner -- we cast proudly our votes for two great Americans. Six votes for Hillary Clinton. 94 votes for the next president on the United States of America,” said Cummings during roll call at the Democratic National Convention.
