Pierce pays tribute to home and Franchot

DENVER – Actor Wendell Pierce says he's definitely a supporter of Comptroller Peter Franchot (D-Takoma Park).

Pierce paid tribute to the "last place I call home" by attending Franchot's Monday evening reception in downtown Denver. "Its all about fiscal responsibility," he told PolitickerMD.com.

Pierce lived in Baltimore while filming "The Wire"- an HBO drama series.

Pierce says presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama moves him and is running the campaign he said he would.

Pierce took a shot at presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain: "He's getting cut throat."
