U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Mechanicsville) praised presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama’s choice of U.S. Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) as a vice presidential running mate.
“Senator Joe Biden is an excellent choice for Vice President,” Hoyer said in a statement released following Saturday’s vice presidential announcement. “House Democrats from all areas of the country, rural and urban, progressive and conservative, will be proud to support Senator Biden as our nominee for Vice President.”
Hoyer pointed to Biden’s national security and foreign policy credentials a plus: “Senator Biden’s three decades of national security expertise and foreign policy wisdom is a considerable asset, and has been demonstrated time and again as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He also brings his working-class roots and intuitive understanding of the difficult economic times that millions of Americans now face.”

Obama should debate Biden, not McCain
Obama and Biden have some stark policy differences that McCain will exploit. I know he didn't want a yes man but I think he ended up with a no man.
Not WRIGHT for America has a hilarious spoof post about Obama debating Biden instead of McCain. www.notwrightforamerica.com. I think that sums up the problems with the Biden pick.
