U.S. Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Kensington), who currently holds Maryland’s 8th Congressional District seat, is reporting $280,535 in contributions in the second quarter and has $2,464,791.43 cash on hand.
Van Hollen has raised $1,681,633.75 in total contributions to date for this election according to Federal Election Commission reports.
Van Hollen, who serves as chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, is currently serving his fifth term in Congress. His opponent, Republican Steve Hudson reported earning $9,484 in contributions in the second quarter.
