Dixon is currently under investigation for public corruption for failing to report gifts on her financial disclosures as required by law.
Arnold M. Weiner, a defense attorney, helped defend former Gov. Marvin Mandel’s (D-Baltimore) trial in 1977. Mandel, who was charged with mail fraud and racketeering, was originally found guilty, but the case was eventually overturned.
“I can only say at this point that she is a great mayor and I am looking forward to representing her,” Weiner told the Examiner. “But I’m relatively new to the case so I don’t want to say too much.”
