The Maryland delegation to the Republican National Convention announced the chairs and committee assignments of the four standing committees on Tuesday.
Former state Del. Don Murphy will be leading the delegation as chair.
Everett Alvarez Jr., will serve as the delegations honorary chair. Alvarez served with John McCain in Vietnam.
State House Minority Leader Del. Tony O'Donnell and former Del. Carmen Amedori will serve on the Platform Committee.
To serve on the credential committee is National Committeewoman Joyce Terhes and the Maryland GOP's 1st Vice-Chair Chris Cavey.
Anne McCarthy, the state GOP's 2006 comptroller nominee and National Committeewoman Louis Pope will serve on the Rules Committee.
Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold and 3rd congressional district Del. Barbara Howard will serve on the Committee on Permanente Organization.
The RNC Maryland delegation will meet in Minneapolis, Minnesota from August 25-29 prior to the September 1 convention in St. Paul.
