Lt. Gov. Anthony BrownLt. Gov. Anthony BrownLt. Gov Anthony Brown has been named to the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Drafting Committee. The committee, which will be lead by Gov. Janet Napolitano (D-Ariz.), is in charge of drafting the party’s platform in advance of the Democratic National Convention.

“I am excited to be a member of the team that will develop and articulate a platform not just for the Democratic Party but for the entire nation. I will work with the committee to ensure the Democratic Party maintains its longtime commitment to our veterans,” Brown said, referring to his 10 moths of service in Iraq and his status as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Also named to the committee today are U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, U.S. Rep. Linda Sanchez and Michigan Gov. Governor Jennifer Granholm (D).

The committee has a scheduled public hearing in Cleveland, Ohio on August 1. Brown is scheduled to attend the convention from August 25 through August 28.
